SWINE FLU VACCINE
The Vaccine is now available to the following groups: Individuals aged 6 months and over who are at risk (see Below)
Pregnant Women
Individuals who live with someone whose immunity is compromised (e.g. People with Cancer, HIV/AIDS)
At Risk Group:
Chronic Lung Disease (e.g. COPD, Asthma)
Chronic Heart Disease
Chronic Kidney or Liver Disease
Chronic Neurological Disease (e.g. Stroke)
Diabetes
Immunocompression due to disease or treatment (e.g. undergoing Chemotherapy)
If you would like to be vaccinated please contact the surgery.
SWINE FLU
If you have a temperature of 38*C and/or flu like symptoms and you suspect you may have the swine flu please call the Surgery on 01895 422 2921 so we can assess you and prescribe antivirals if neccessary.
The reception staff will turn you away if you come to the surgery.
Washing your hands frequently and limiting contact with others who may have the flu is the most important thing that you can do to protect yourself and others.
